Definition:
'Ankylosing hyperostosis' is a form of dorsopathy. It is a noninflammatory disease, with the principal manifestation being calcification and ossification of spinal ligaments and the regions where tendons and ligaments attach to bone.
Symptoms- Thoracic spinal pain
- Morning stiffness
- Presence of thick bony bridges between vertebral bodies of the right more common than the left side of thoracic spine
- Usually middle aged or elderly
Causes- Unknown
Treatment- Spine ROM
- Core stabilization exercises
- Generalized strengthening exercises
