Definition:
Proliferation of synovial tissue of the head neck and spine, composed of synovial villi and fibrous nodules infiltrated by giant cells and macrophages.

Symptoms
  • Swelling in the head neck and spine
  • Pain in the neck and spine, especially with movement
  • Sudden onset
  • Loss of ROM in the neck and spine
  • Neck and spine feels warm to touch

  • Idiopathic
Treatment
  • ROM and stretching
