Definition:
Proliferation of synovial tissue of the head neck and spine, composed of synovial villi and fibrous nodules infiltrated by giant cells and macrophages.

Symptoms
  • Swelling in the knee
  • Pain in the knee, especially with movement
  • Sudden onset
  • Loss of ROM in the knee
  • Knee feels warm to touch
