Symptoms
  • Pain in the medial knee
  • Loss of ROM in the knee
  • Pain with weight bearing
  • Locking, catching, grinding
  • Swelling in the knee
Causes
  • Articular cartilage lesion
Treatment
  • Period of immobilization
  • Passive ROM, progress to active ROM
  • Massage to reduce swelling
  • Quadriceps activation
  • Non-weight bearing lower extremity strengthening, progress to weight bearing lower extremity strengthening
  • Gait program
