Mortons Neuroma

Definition:
Metatarsal pain caused by compression of sensory nerves by the metatarsal heads, sometimes with neuroma formation.

Symptoms
  • Pain in the foot with weight bearing
  • Burning and/or numbness in the 3rd and/or 4th toe
  • Pain is relieved by removing footwear
  • Feels like there is a pebble in your shoe with walking
Causes
  • Wearing poorly-fitted shoes
  • Irritation
  • Pressure
  • Injury
Treatment
  • Seek medical advise

  • Change footwear
