Ischial Bursitis

Definition:
'Ischial bursitis' (also known as 'weaver's bottom') is inflammation of bursa (synovial sac) located between gluteus medius muscle and ischial tuberosity. It is usually caused by prolonged sitting on a hard surface.

  • Locking or catching in the involved hip
