Definition:
A break, especially the breaking of a bone or cartilage in the proximal phalanx.

Symptoms
  • Pain in the finger or toe
  • Swelling in the finger or toe
  • Loss of ROM in the finger or toe
  • Bruising
  • Possible deformity in the finger or toe

  • Direct blow

  • Heavy object falling onto finger or toe
