AC/Clavicle DJD Arthritis

Definition:
Arthritis characterized by erosion of articular cartilage of the AC/clavicle which becomes soft, frayed, and thinned with eburnation of subchondral bone and outgrowths of marginal osteophytes; pain and loss of function result.

Symptoms
  • Pain in the front of the shoulder
  • Point tender on the acromioclavicular join
  • Pain when reaching across to the other shoulder with the affected arm
  • Pain with increased activity

  • Faulty posture
